Riley Pickrell busted open in nasty crash with traffic island at Giro d'Italia

As the stress levels in the peloton rise towards the finale, an unexpected traffic island has caused a nasty crash in the bunch.

Worst affected of those involved looked to be Israel - Premier Tech's Riley Pickrell who was spotted with blood pouring from a cut on his head in the aftermath. Also involved were the likes of Giovanni Lonardi, Davide Piganzoli and Alan Riou with Daniel Martinez also possibly slowed up by the crash but seemingly not hitting the deck.
