Renovation with Warren Barguil priority, not Nairo Quintana for Arkéa Samsic

Some informations have been released by L'Équipe regarding the status of the French teams, as there are some moves expected to happen over the coming transfer season. Adding to the rumours that had been said about Nairo Quintana's departure, the report confirms Arkéa Samsic's focus on Warren Barguil.

The Breton has won a stage at Tirreno-Adriatico this year aswell as the GP Miguel Indurain. As Arkéa are set to be promoted to World Tour level, it will seek a new leader as Nairo Quintana is thought to be departing from the French Team. It has been said that Guillaume Martin could be an alternative, but Cofidis are said to have Martin's renewal as a priority.

Furthermore it was reported that AG2R Citroën Team are looking to bolster their sprinting and Grand Tour ambitions with Ben O'Connor. Both Andrea Vendrame and Clément Venturini are under contract for 2023 but the team will be eyeing a sprinter capable of taking wins in the first division. As for the mountains the team look to supply Ben O'Connor with further support, and also eye more diversity throughout the season.

The French team has a high budget since the entry of Citroën has a title sponsor, however the Greg van Avermaet and Oliver Naesen duo have not been able to give the team the results it hoped.
