Oier Lazkano and Iván García Cortina lead Movistar at Paris-Roubaix in an attempt to conclude Movistar's cobbled classics on a high

As it could not be otherwise, Movistar Team will be led by Iván García Cortina and Oier Lazkano at Paris-Roubaix next Sunday, April 7. The 'Hell of the North' is a race that favours the men in form and the Spanish duo can surprise.

The two leaders in the spring classics of the Spanish team were protagonists last Sunday in the Tour of Flanders. Lazkano was among the first to attack and try to tighten the race and Cortina reached the decisive moment of the race in the lead, but could not cope with the slippery ramps of the Koppenberg and, although he fought for the podium, he ended up cracking in the last kilometers.

Despite the final result, Movistar's sensations after Flanders were very positive (never had a Spanish team been so protagonist of the Ronde in history) and now they face Roubaix with hopes. Perhaps with a more conservative strategy Cortina and Lazkano can arrive with better legs at the end and compete for the top 10. They will be accompanied by Mathias Norsgaard, Rémi Cavagna, Johan Jacobs, Vinicius Rangel and Manlio Moro.
