"This year I’ve learnt that it’s good to be patient, and that some things take time. Maybe now in the World Tour it may take some time to adapt to the level but hopefully at some point it will come, but I just have to be patient and go step by step. As I step up, I hope to learn from the other guys, clever and strong riders like Mads Pedersen who I can learn a lot from."
Finally, Teutenberg notes that he'd like to match comets of this sprint Luke Lamperti and Paul Magnier and have a breakthrough entrance to the professional ranks too. "It would also be nice to take some good results for myself. If I can continue my path as it is now, that would be nice, but I’m not expecting it to be easy. First of all, I’m just looking to have a good start into World Tour life," he concluded.
At
Lidl-Trek, they're of course more than happy to welcome a first graduee of their newly-founded Development team. "It will be special that Tim is the first rider to pass from the development team to the World Tour," emphasized Project Manager Markel Irizar. Ultimately,
Tim Torn Teutenberg doesn't necessarily have to be the last new professional coming from Lidl-Trek's DT with riders like Mats Wenzel and Jakob Söderqvist loudly banging to the doors too.
