Trek - Segafredo is becoming Lidl - Trek ahead of the Tour the France, and the American team is coming in with a stacked lineup capable of fighting for several different goals, and features different leaders.
Mads Pedersen had his sights layed on the Tour where he comes in to fight for the sprints and quite likely the points classification too. He comes in supported by Alex Kirsch and Jasper Stuyven who will be his own leadout men, Pedersen looks to take a stage win in his fourth Grand Tour in a row - he's not missed one since last year's Tour.
The team comes in with Mattias Skjelmose, recent winner of the Tour de Suisse and Danish nationals, who will be one of the most interesting riders to follow and may be a wildcard for the overall classification. It is also a strong lineup for the mountains with Giulio Ciccone present - who will hunt stage wins and possibly the KOM classification, and Juan Pedro López.
The lineup is completed by Quinn Simmons who is just off a win at the USA nationals and will hunt wins in the transition days, and Tony Gallopin who will be an experienced domestique, racing his 11th Tour. It is set to be one of the most colourful squads out over in France this coming month as it features three new national champions in Skjelmose, Simmons and Kirsch.
