Tadej Pogacar is ready for the Tour de France and confirmed to be present. UAE Team Emirates have revealed their lineup this Monday morning and the Slovenian is aiming for a third title.
Pogacar has returned to racing this weekend, winning both time-trial and road race in the Slovenian national championships. How he'll do against Jonas Vingegaard and the rest of the field will be understood throughout the first week, however Pogacar should be arriving in good form towards his biggest goal of the year. He will have the support of Adam Yates who was second at the Criterium du Dauphiné and Rafal Majka in the high mountains.
The team has kept several of it's climbers away from the Tour, but the Slovenian will still have the support of Marc Soler and Felix Grossschartner in the long ascents, whilst Tim Wellens had to opt out of the race as he could not get the hoped form after returning from injury.
The team has naturally put in quite a lot of focus on it's rouleurs, ensuring Pogacar's safety in the flat and transition stages. Mikkel Bjerg and Matteo Trentin will be very useful when the pace ramps up quite a lot being two of the best in their field, whilst Vegard Stake Laengen will also be tasked with working on the flat days completing the lineup.
UAE Team Emirates for Tour de France:
