Tour de France | Jumbo-Visma confirm anticipated lineup, Jonas Vingegaard aims for second yellow jersey whilst Wout van Aert hunts stage wins

Jumbo-Visma were one of the most vocal teams when it came to the riders they'd have present at the Tour de France, and today they have confirmed their '8' which consist of the riders who have prepared specifically for it and arrive healthy.

Wilco Kelderman was the first reserve, and he came in to replace an injured Steven Kruijswijk who crashed at the Criterium du Dauphiné. Kelderman has finished fourth at the Tour de Suisse. The Dutchman and Sepp Kuss will be the main supporters in the mountains for Jonas Vingegaard who comes as reigning champion, and following very convincing wins at Itzulia Basque Country and now most recently the Criterium du Dauphiné.

The team is built all around Vingegaard, but it doesn't come without it's ambitions elsewhere just because of it's sheer talent. Both Wout van Aert and Christophe Laporte will have as their role to protect the Dane, however they will have stages where they'll be able to aim for wins. Van Aert specifically will not be riding for the green jersey this year, riding more conservatively due to the World Championships that follow the race.

The lineup is completed by classics specialists trio: Tiesj Benoot and Dylan van Baarle will be able to, like van Aert, work well in the mountains when necessary, but mostly play a role in the hilly days. Van Baarle and Nathan van Hooydonck are likely to put in the most work throughout the flat stages to keep Vingegaard safe.

Jumbo-Visma for Tour de France:

Jonas Vingegaard, Wout van Aert, Dylan van Baarle, Tiesj Benoot, Christophe Laporte, Sepp Kuss, Wilco Kelderman and Nathan van Hooydonck.
