Lars van der Haar has taken hold of the Superprestige's final race in Middelkerke quite early, and has solidifed his win as he finished second, coming home after Eli Iserbyt who took the win on the final round of the cup.
The final round of the Superprestige race began with cup leader Lars van der Haar hitting the front right away, and creating differences on the opening lap. It was a sharp move with only Eli Iserbyt and Laurens Sweeck managing to keep up with the pace. The trio moved clear from the rest and attacked each other over the following laps, but the fast and technical course saw them evenly matched.

The pace then calmed ever so slightly as Joris Nieuwenhuis bridged across to the front on lap 7, as the chasing group split over the high pace. Shortly after though van der Haar moved clear in the track's sand section, only to be brought back by Iserbyt two laps later. In the final lap van der Haar made a mistake in a camber section letting Iserbyt gain a small gap.
That gap however began extending, and the mental blow was too big. Iserbyt stormed to an important victory - his first since the GP Sven Nys. Van der Haar and Laurens Sweeck completed the podium. In the final classification Van der Haar topped Iserbyt and Vanthourenhout.
