Kasper Asgreen crashed at the Tour de Suisse which left him in doubt for the
Tour de France. Despite the injuries, and the absence of some big names, Asgreen was selected to ride the Tour but could not go past the opening week as the team announced that "the recovery didn't go as expected.
The Dane was not expected to start the Tour de France due to the crash, however the Danish Grand Depart likely had a big deal of importance in the choice. He hasn't managed to perform at his regular level, having helped Fabio Jakobsen to a stage win in Nyborg though, but has called it a race this morning.
