"It could also be Bryan Coquard's thing" - Victor Lafay confident that Cofidis will win French national championships

Cofidis rider Victor Lafay is preparing to start his season at the Tour Down Under. He got the chance to scout the course for the 2023 French Championships and shared his observations.

"I think it's going to be selective," he told CyclismActu. He continues, "It looks really tough. The cobbled hill is already not easy, but the finish climb is even harder.”

He responded that the course was to his liking. "I think. With that, plus the narrow sections, it's going to be a really demanding circuit. It's a punisher's course so it could be the right one for me. But it could also be Bryan Coquard's thing."

While the championship is still a bit further off, Lafay is focusing on getting the season off to a strong start in the Tour Down Under. He'll be heading to Australia soon to participate in the race. "The season starts now,” concluded Lafay.
