"I can make myself useful for my leaders" - Bagioli content with domestique role at Soudal-Quick-Step but admits "I want to win races"

Due to a variety of different circumstances, Andrea Bagioli has had to put aside his own personal goals for that of the team since his arrival at Soudal - Quick-Step in 2020, something he seemingly has no issue with.

"If necessary, I can make myself useful for my leaders," the 23-year-old Italian reveals in an interview with Bici.Pro. "I will make myself available for the team as a team member."

As mentioned, Bagioli seems to have no problem with casting aside his own personal goals and ambitions for the greater good of the team. Despite this however, the Italian does still have big ambitions for his career. "Honestly I want to win," he says. "For now, I still have this character, I want to win races."

Having been at the start line of three previous Grand Tours, could we see the young Italian climber challenge himself in the three-week stage races yet again this coming year? "It's still too early to say. We'll see after Liège-Bastogne-Liège," he admits.
