Lotte Kopecky picked up right where she left off upon her return to road racing at the 2024 UAE Tour Women. The Belgian of Team SD Worx - Protime thundered to overall victory.
“I'm glad it didn't start raining too hard, so we stayed safe,” reflected Kopecky in her interview following the conclusion of Sunday's final stage. “I had hoped for this final victory beforehand, although I didn't actually expect it. It's really nice to win this tour. I really enjoyed my time here in UAE and skydiving in Dubai, yes.”
Although this marks a perfect start to the season for Kopecky, it's fair to say bigger tests are ahead. Notably, her next appearance is scheduled for Omloop Het Nieuwsblad WE on the 24th of February.
