Hermans left out of Intermarché's Tour de France lineup as Kristoff and van der Hoorn go for stage wins

Intermarché - Wanty - Gobert Matériaux will be chasing stage wins at the Tour de France as they announced a lineup with a lot of support for Alexander Kristoff but at the same time several stage hunters.

The Norwegian will be the team leader though on the flat stages, having shown good form recently at the national championships and grabbing three wins this season. Despite being a completely new setup, his leadout with Andrea Pasqualon and Adrien Petit has been very effective this year, adding his compatriot Sven Erik Bystrom will see this side of the team ambitioning strong results on the flat days.

Taco van der Hoorn can also play a supportive role, but the Dutchman will likely be eyeing stage wins as his main priority on his Tour de France debut, focusing on the rolling days that will be seen on weeks two and three. Georg Zimmermann is also likely a stage hunter, albeit with lower chances for success.

As for the mountains the team will have no pressure to work, but Louis Meintjes will be leading the team with newly-found motivation. The Belgian team is absolutely on fire this year, having confidently left the battle for maintenance, Meintjes finished in sixth place at the Critérium du Dauphiné and won the Giro dell'Appennino recently, results that have earned him a place as a contender for the Top10, something which he has since 2017 not achieved. He will have the support of debutant Kobe Goossens on the rough terrain.

Intermarché - Wanty - Gobert Matériaux for Tour de France: Alexander Kristoff, Sven Erik Bystrom, Kobe Goossens, Louis Meintjes, Andrea Pasqualon, Adrien Petit, Taco van der Hoorn and Georg Zimmermann.
