- I like Vingo a lot- but geesh- ride a classic now and then....
- While Wout had not been so lucky and had lost against MvDP in the classics and XC, he is an all terrain guy who can perform consistently on Grand Tours. He's probably lacking in explosiveness compared to MvDP, but is able to churn out consistent long powerful rides.
- O, the sin of sports, doping, and its sinner, Jannik Sinner. Coincidentally, Jannik cognates with John. So, Johny Sins?
- instead he did very bad!!! I was too much optimistic
- Is he playing dumb or what? Everyone knows you need to adjust your steering when looking around wildly like that, especially when sprinting and you're tired. That's why other pros actually look down and under their armpit to see behind.
Also, why the heck is he looking around in the last 10 metres of the sprint? What was he trying to see or achieve with such a dangerous and pointless action?
He got away with it only because he is Jasper. Anyone else would have been punished with a card.
- Another one to add to his growing collection
- No, they’re at different stages of the build-up cycle.. Besides, I wouldn’t read too much into the cross result, it’s a lot faster to build up form to a short more dynamic race than real endurance which needs more time. That doesn’t mean that part is detrimental as a base.
If you use athletics as an analogy, the cross is 400m, classics are middle-distance and Tours are marathons, for the middle-distance you need your speed from 400 and endurance from marathon, you can get your basic speed back up pretty quick and then it stays with you whilst you add endurance.
- This is why Jasper Disaster is dangerous, an accident waiting to happen
- If he DOESN’T announce his comeback before 2030 I will grow my sideburns, again.
It’s actually partially thanks to Geraint I have my current life and another son. I bet some guys I’d grow sideburns if he won the Tour and though she hated them on me, it kind of influenced her to explore if there was more to me than my awful retro look.
- That’s like equating local dealer and drug baron or a tax cheat with Madoff. All guilty yes but not in the same way. Very dangerous attitude that would lead to every small time crook deciding they might as well go the whole hog if the result is the same.
