The final stage of the Tour of Turkey, set to take place in Istanbul has been cancelled during it's initial phase. With no classifications attributed to the stage, all classifications have remained the same as in the previous day when Patrick Bevin raided the race to take control of it.
Race organizers have announced on social media that after 25 kilometers of racing, riders asked for the race to be neutralized due to the strong rain that was affecting it. Weather conditions didn't allow for it to be resumed, hence concluding the race earlier than expected.
Patrick Bevin has taken a very important win for Israel - Premier Tech who are in need of UCI points. He has been joined by Jay Vine and Eduardo Sepúlveda on the final podium. Jasper Philipsen won the points classification, Noah Granigan won the mountain classification whilst Equipo Kern Pharma were the winners of the team classification.

Stage 8 has been stopped due to weather conditions. It begun raining after the start and crashes occurred. After km 25, the riders asked for the race to be neutralised. They are riding slowly to Taksim Square. There won't be any stage results today. #TUR2022
