@ammattipyoraily @NaichacaCycling @CyclingGraphs @velofacts Any idea if this is a lot? (I know it's not a lot to go off of course.) He arrived at the SyncroSferahotel the 5th of May. Seems to have been training alone there.
Remco Evenepoel has had a successful start to the season, with wins at the Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana, Volta ao Algarve and Liège-Bastogne-Liège to his name, and will tomorrow begin his second racing block of the season at the Tour of Norway.
The Belgian rider has opted to forego both the Giro d'Italia and Tour de France this year, despite the possible absence of Julian Alaphilippe in the latter, in order to put his Grand Tour focus at the Vuelta a España later on in the year. Before that though, he will go on a summer racing block which will include the Tour of Norway, Tour de Suisse and the national championships. He will take to the start of the Norwegian race tomorrow as one of the main favourites, leading Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team - having the likes of Kasper Asgreen and Rémi Cavagna alongside him.
He's spent the last few weeks training in the Spanish Mediterranean coast, a traditional training location for rider during the winter months, in order to be at his best form for the upcoming races. On his training camp, presumed to be solo, he's said to have ride 57 hours, 1842 kilometers and over 31.000 meters of climbing in the space of just over two weeks.
