For Team Visma | Lease a Bike, the stage 4 individual time trial at the 2025
Criterium du Dauphiné was a very strong day all around. Team leader
Jonas Vingegaard gained time on all his rivals other than
Remco Evenepoel, with the team's other GC option
Matteo Jorgenson also securing a podium finish against the clock.
As such, at the end of stage 4, both Vingegaard and Jorgenson are very much in Maillot Jaune contention, 16 and 39 seconds down on the aforementioned Evenepoel respectively. For
Sepp Kuss, time trial are never really a day for the American to shine, but speaking afterwards in quotes collected in a post-stage press release on the Team Visma | Lease a Bike website, the experience American saw nothing but positivity in his team's performance.
“The climb in the middle of the time trial was very tough”, Kuss admits, having crossed the line with the 30th fastest time in his own right, just inside two minutes of stage winner Evenepoel. "I have a good feeling about it. This is a good test for our team towards the
Tour de France, even though we know we will be faced with a different type of time trial there. Today's outcome is a positive one."
