Enric Mas crashed on the descent of the Alto de Vivero in the final part of the first stage of the
Tour de France and had to abandon the race.
Movistar Team has confirmed that he suffers a fracture in his right scapula, which caused him to abandon the race. He was taken to hospital after his withdrawal, where he has rested overnight:
"Enric suffers a right scapula fracture, without displacement. Superficial abrasions in arms and legs.
