After Tour de Hongrie, the 26-year-old climber also talked about the
Tour of Norway as the next intermediate station, but Bernal decided to change his plans. The two-time grand tour winner decided to fly back to his home country Colombia after the Tour of Hungary. The climber has now been in training for almost a week in Monaco, his European base.
Bernal will probably be back in action in just over a week. The rider is on the provisional start list of the Critérium du Dauphiné (4-11 June). Whether Bernal will also appear at the start of the Tour de France on July 1 is still unclear. The Colombian is not yet sure whether he will be selected.
