One of the most exciting days of the 2023 Giro d'Italia, stage 18 had a lot going on. Filippo Zana and Thibaut Pinot battled it out for the stage win whilst the general classification battle continued to ignite.
With Pinot desperate to claim a stage win in his final Giro d'Italia, the Groupama - FDJ leader was once again in attacking mode. Filippo Zana however, adorned in his Italian national champions jersey would not be denied, taking the win in a dramatic sprint. Down the road, Primoz Roglic and Geraint Thomas put time into Joao Almeida as the GC battle continued to spark into life.
