BORA - hansgrohe pull out of race to sign Fabio Jakobsen

Transfers & Negotiations. Whilst it had been rumoured by some that Fabio Jakobsen to BORA - hansgrohe was all but a done deal, those reports now seem wide of the mark with the likelihood of the transfer taking place now very slim.

Sources have confirmed to Wielerflits that the German-based team has in fact pulled out of the race to bring Jakobsen in as a replacement for Sam Bennett. Instead BORA - hansgrohe will turn their attentions elsewhere for a new sprint signing.

With BORA - hansgrohe gone, the favourites to pick up the European Championship-winning sprinter are now thought to be Team DSM-Firmenich. That is of course if he doesn't re-sign his contract with current employers Soudal - Quick-Step.
