Biniam Girmay has been crowned ITT national champion in Eritrea, a title that will see him in the nation's colours for a year, as he prepares to fight for another title this weekend in the road race.
Girmay had competition but was the fastest in his home city of Asmara, as he beat Merhawi Kudus and Amanuel Gebreigzabhier who completed the podium, and was welcomed with passionate celebrations after confirming his win.
