Benoit Cosnefroy leads AG2R Citroen Team for the Amstel Gold Race: "I have a little revenge to take after my second place in 2022"

Following his controversial second-placed finish at the Amstel Gold Race in 2022, Benoit Cosnefroy will return to the Netherlands, leading the AG2R Citroen Team and looking for revenge.
After an incredibly close sprint finish with INEOS Grenadiers' Michal Kwiatkowski, Cosnefroy was initially named the winner of the race twelve months ago. Upon further examination of the photo finish however, the result was changed by the jury and the Frenchman had to settle for second place.
Supporting Cosnefroy in his quest to make things right this year will be a strong team that will include the recent winner of Brabantse Pijl, Dorian Godon and the Classics legend Greg van Avermaet. Also in the team are the experienced Michael Schär and Mikaël Cherel, 22-year-old Valentin Retailleau and the Belgian, Stan Dewulf.

When JV won his tours his interviews where certainly not extrovert, very, 'we done the job and that's it, Pogs certainly more verbally animated and it's his personality on the cycle too. - Jonas has a completely different personality than Pogi. Pogi can handle the pressure on all terrains. Pogi also loves his peace and quiet. And by the way, you can have your Casio watch. I will take several of the Richard Mille watches. Pogi is charismatic and humble, and always thanks his teammates for everything they sacrifice for him. Jonas probably does the same, but is much more private. Both are great, great riders, and I can't wait for The Tour De France this year! We are going over for two weeks. Go Pogi!
