B&B Hotels' future uncertain, Cavendish and others free to look for "alternative options"

B&B Hotels-KTM seemed certain this summer for a very meaningful evolution in budget, which remained unchanged until the days leading up to it's planned presentation. With a forecasted buget of €15 million the team went on to sign big names such as Mark Cavendish, but the team's future itself is uncertain at the time being.

A report from Le Parisien suggests that riders who have been contacted and signed with the French team for 2023 have been told they can look for alternative options. This includes the likes of Mark Cavendish and Cees Bol, and leadout men Max Richeze and Ramon Sinkeldam. Whilst the team's existance itself does not appear to be at risk, the team has not had the financial support it was planned, and has had to delay it's presentation.

Although the final list of teams is only set to be confirmed on the 21st of December, the team failed to have it's name on the provisional UCI ProTeam list. The team has reportedly attempted to merge with Israel - Premier Tech, and is still lacking several million euros.

With no room to hide, the delay of the team's expected presentation on the 26th of October has revealed the team's current issues, and team manager Jerôme Pineau has attempted to calm down rumours, however rather unsuccessfully. This is an ongoing topic, with the future still unclear for both team and riders.
