Away from Roglic and Pogacar, Remco Evenepoel prepares Il Lombardia with colossal training ride

Tadej Pogacar, Primoz Roglic, Simon Yates, Adam Yates, Enric Mas and others are preparing for Il Lombardia and have recently shown great legs at the Giro dell'Emilia. Tre Valli Varesine is the final warm-up race, however Remco Evenepoel has not travelled to Italy in anticipation, and is instead preparing for the final monument of the season on his own.

A rider who knows how to prepare for a one-day race, the hopes will be high despite the very strong competition. With less than a week to go, a 250-kilometer ride he called 'Project Lombardy' on Strava might have been the final big step in anticipation to the big one. Evenepoel does not have a good history with the Italian race, but looks for revenge, as he takes on a very important climbing challenge.
