The Arkéa - B&B Hotels team has announced the renewal of Spaniard Cristián Rodríguez for two more seasons. The 29-year-old climber, a Spanish native, has secured two more seasons among the best in the international peloton.
The cyclist is delighted with the renewal and to remain with a squad with which he is enjoying racing major laps and important races with freedom: "I am delighted to extend my contract with the ARKEA-B&B HOTELS team for two more seasons. I have found my sporting and personal balance in this very familiar team. They trust me and my racing calendar fits my profile as a climber perfectly. I had two great first years with the team, marked by a participation in the Tour de France and a fourth place on the day of Kévin Vauquelin's victory in Bologna."
"I finished 13th in the Vuelta Ciclista a España in 2023 and 2024. I have made a lot of progress in the Arkéa - B&B Hotels team during these two seasons, and I intend to continue on the same path in the next two. I enjoy doing the general classifications in the one-week stage races, but also in the Grand Tours."
Emmanuel Hubert, the French team's general manager, was delighted with the renewal:
"Cristián Rodríguez has found his niche in two seasons with Arkéa - B&B Hotels. A consistent performer, he is capable of good overall placings in the main stage races on the WorldTour calendar, as well as in the Grand Tours, as evidenced by his two 13th places in the 2023 and 2024 Vueltas. Cristián is a solid climber who will continue to bring us a lot in the next two seasons, because he is also capable of being an enthusiastic teammate, as he showed this year when he helped Kévin Vauquelin triumph in Bologna. It was a great team effort that he rounded off with a promising fourth place in a stage of the Tour de France."
