We now officially know where the 2026 Tour de France Grand Depart will be held. In just over two years time, the Tour de France will take off from Barcelona in Spain.
In total, the first three stages of the 2026 edition will be in Catalan country, taking place on the 4th, 5th and 6th of July that year. After previous visits to the heart of Catalunya in 1957, 1965 and 2009, this will mark the fourth time in the Tour de France's long and storied history that the race has visited Barcelona. Last time around, Thor Hushovd, now general manager at Uno-X Mobility, sprinted to the win.
In just a few weeks. the 2024 Tour de France gets underway with a Grand Depart in Florence, Italy. After recent away starts in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2022 and the Basque Country in 2023, the 2025 edition sees the Grand Tour begin on home soil in Lille.
