Wout van Aert has won the Exact Cross Mol. The sixth lap gave him the lead, which he maintained to claim the season's second victory.
A strong start was made by Thibau Nys, but Quinten Hermans took the lead shortly afterward. The trio of Wout van Aert, Mathieu van der Poel, and Tom Pidcock were just behind Hermans at the end of lap one.
As the second lap began, Pidcock took the lead. In spite of their efforts, van der Poel and van Aert were still struggling to reach the front. The fourth lap, however, saw van Aert take the lead. Just behind the Belgian was Van der Poel.
It was hard for Pidcock to stay with the front group and he slipped 10 seconds behind it, but he continued to chase. During the seventh lap, Wout van Aert dropped van der Poel and increased his lead to over 13 seconds.
