Puck Pieterse has won the UCI World Cup Hulst. She beat Fem van Empel to secure her fourth victory of the season.

Puck Pieterse had a nice start. Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado chased her, Inge van der Heijden crashed. Soon Fem van Empel was in the lead but Pieterse was not going down easily and she once again took the lead for herself.

After a bit and forth van Empel was back in the lead but this time she crashed hard and lost crucial time which Pieterse used to her advantage. By the end of the fourth lap, she had 30 second lead over van Empel which increased to over 42 seconds in the final lap.

Puck Pieterse crossed the finish line without any competition and secured the victory. Fem van Empel finished second. Shirin van Anrooij took the bronze.
