Mathieu van der Poel outperforms Wout van Aert to win World Cup Benidorm

Mathieu van der Poel emerged victorious at the UCI World Cup Benidorm, defeating Wout van Aert to claim the win.

Mathieu van der Poel quickly took the lead at the start of the race, and Tom Pidcock soon joined him. It took Wout van Aert a little longer to catch up, but he eventually joined the leading group along with Eli Iserbyt.

Sweeck joined the group in the second lap, while Van der Poel attempted to launch an offensive attack, but Van Aert didn't let him go. Unfortunately, Jens Adams met with a crash hard.

The ultimate competition for victory came down to a showdown between Van Aert and Van der Poel. The Dutchman emerged victorious. Wout van Aert finished second. Eli Iserbyt took the bronze.
