Lightning strikes twice for Pauwels Sauzen - Bingoal, Eli Iserbyt abandons Val di Sole with injury

The Val di Sole race has proven to be an almost complete disaster for Pauwels Sauzen - Bingoal. After Fem van Empel abandoned due to a crash with fears of injury, Eli Iserbyt has now suffered the same faith.

Whilst van Empel has her lead in the World Cup consolidated, Iserbyt was battling to remove points from Laurens Sweeck's lead. He had been riding near the front until the 6th lap, as he crashed and was complaining from a leg. It is unclear exactly what the injury was, but as van Empel, he was carried off course in a stretcher.
