The early stages of the 2024-2025 cyclocross season are proving to be very exciting for Spanish fans. The great form of Felipe Orts, who is in the best moment of his career, provides big hopes of the country winning a World Cup race on it's first round in Antwerp.
Right now, it doesn't seem impossible that Orts can compete for victories in the best events against the big names in cyclocross. He recently won in Rucphen and has finished amongst the best in several races including a second place at the European Championships.
This is what the Ridley Racing rider made known in his latest statements to Agencia EFE. "I come from getting good results. I want to keep working to maintain that great level in the important races," begins Felipe Orts.
"I'm going to Antwerp with a lot of desire. The circuit is not the one that best suits me, but with the form I'm in I'm going for everything, for the best possible result," added the 29-year-old Spaniard ahead of the World Cup Antwerpen.
The Antwerp race will be the opening race of this season's edition of the Cyclocross World Cup. In total, 12 races will be held. The other 11, in order, will be those of: Dublin, Cabras-Sardinia, Namur, Hulst, Zonhoven, Gavere, Besançon, Dendermonde, Benidorm, Maasmechelen and Hoogerheide.
