It's still not certain when or where
Wout van Aert will next be in action, with a return to
cyclocross this winter still unconfirmed as of yet. In his latest update to
Strava, the Belgian has also raised some concerns by his choice of caption.
Uploading a ride of over 116 kilometres, lasting exactly four hours, the
Team Visma | Lease a Bike superstar, captions the post with the curious: "I have a disease, it's a very specific one." Just like his return to racing, the meaning behind Van Aert's choice of words is a little unclear. Is he actually suffering some kind of virus or illness, or is this a more tongue in cheek post, relating to his obsession with the bike?
As mentioned, the post certainly raised a few eyebrows amongst Van Aert's fans with the comments underneath his latest upload full of questions over the potential reasoning. See the post for yourself down below.
Aids?
Maybe he needs more cowbell?
The route looks kinda like a rat, or some other of that sort. To me, if you flip it a bit.
Or maybe its the time, ocd.
His disease is he is an animal, haha. Wout is a total machine and fun to watch race.
Pure clickbait
