Fem van Empel makes it two-for-two at Fayeteville World Cup

Pauwels Sauzen - Bingoal rider Fem van Empel has won the UCI World Cup in Fayetteville. She beat Lucinda Brand and Annemarie Worst to gain her fourth world title.

Clauzel Hélène had a nice start as she took a small lead in the first lap. Denise Betsema was not going to let her away and followed her. By the end of the first lap, Lucinda Brand and Fem van Empel were also part of the leading group.

Annemarie Worst was trying her best to gain a lead against Brand and van Empel in the last lap, but it was too late, and Fem van Empel managed to finish the line first and take the victory. Lucinda Brand finished behind van Empel and satisfied herself with silver. Annemarie Worst, despite her best effort, only managed to secure the bronze.
