VIDEOS: Giro d'Italia riders make the best out of snow and cut stage; Tadej Pogacar and Geraint Thomas not too bothered

The Giro d'Italia has exploded this morning but it was outside the peloton. Teams and organizers entered a clash over how stage 16 would be raced because of the extreme weather conditions, under snow and freezing temperatures... But some riders still made the best out of a morning in the snow.

A few videos emerged from the peloton after a morning that was nothing but chaotic. Until just minutes ago, the riders did not know where they would start the stage and in what conditions. Ultimately it was decided on a an alternative route and neutralized ride through a large tunnel and into a town that came after the Umbrailpass.

However after learning about this and the delayed start to the stage, a few riders were in good spirits. That was the case with Tadej Pogacar and Geraint Thomas. The latter specially made fun of the weather situation calling it "just like home" (in Wales). Not all riders' spirits were broken from a morning spent out in the freezing temperatures in Livigno.
