Sam Welsford took a stage at the
Tour Down Under for the third time in four days on Friday. During the hectic sprint finale, he briefly lost the wheel of Danny van Poppel, who was riding in front, but was able to find enough of a gap to power his way to another victory.
Fittingly, he gave himself a big present, as he achieved this victory on the fourth stage of the Tour Down Under on his 28th birthday. During the podium ceremony, the Aussie sprint star was able to celebrate this success and his birthday together with his fans and compatriots
