Stage 9 of the 2023 Tour de France saw the riders take on the infamous Puy de Dôme climb. Team DSM's Romain Bardet lives so close to the climb that he can see it from his window. As such his family were all on course to support him.
His son even brought with him his own bike. As he tried his own luck on one of the most historic and rarely ridden climbs in the sport, Bardet junior was greeted by an adoring audience who treated him as if he was the Maillot Jaune himself.
