On October 14, in the town of Pipriac, near Rennes, the 14th International Critérium of Past Champions took place, organized by the Pipriac Cycling Association in honour of past champions.
The highlight of the event was the inauguration of the "Rue Raymond Poulidor", where many past cycling legends were present to celebrate the occasion, including names such as Cyrille Guimard, Bernard Hinault, Joop Zoetmelk and Angel Arroyo, among other notables.
Pipriac now has a street named after Raymond Poulidor, who passed away in 2019, making him the fifth legendary cyclist to receive this tribute from the city, following in the footsteps of Louison Bobet, Bernard Hinault, Cyrille Guimard and Laurent Fignon. After a warm-up, the champions of the past set off for 40 laps of a 1.3 km circuit, showing that they are still in shape and keep cycling in their daily lives. Recall the day in the video below.
