Victor Lafay has won the third stage of the
Arctic Race of Norway. He launched an early attack in the final 2 kilometers and maintained the lead till the finish line.
The breakaway included Taco van der Hoorn, Maurice Ballerstedt, Tom Wirtgen, and Hakon Lunder Aalrust. The group managed to create a lead of 3 minutes and 40 seconds.
It increased to 5 minutes before dropping to 1 minute and 5 seconds 10 kilometers before the finish line. Only Taco van der Hoorn and Maurice Ballerstedt continued the lead as Tom Wirtgen and Hakon Lunder Aalrust were dropped. With just 4 kilometers to go, the peloton finally caught the duo.
Victor Lafay attacked and took the lead in the final 2 kilometers. Lafay continued the lead till the finish and won the stage. Kévin Vauquelin followed soon and finished second, while Carl Fredrik Hagen took the bronze.
