Victor Lafay wins third stage of the Arctic Race of Norway

Victor Lafay has won the third stage of the Arctic Race of Norway. He launched an early attack in the final 2 kilometers and maintained the lead till the finish line.

The breakaway included Taco van der Hoorn, Maurice Ballerstedt, Tom Wirtgen, and Hakon Lunder Aalrust. The group managed to create a lead of 3 minutes and 40 seconds.

It increased to 5 minutes before dropping to 1 minute and 5 seconds 10 kilometers before the finish line. Only Taco van der Hoorn and Maurice Ballerstedt continued the lead as Tom Wirtgen and Hakon Lunder Aalrust were dropped. With just 4 kilometers to go, the peloton finally caught the duo.

Victor Lafay attacked and took the lead in the final 2 kilometers. Lafay continued the lead till the finish and won the stage. Kévin Vauquelin followed soon and finished second, while Carl Fredrik Hagen took the bronze.
