Are you a passionate cycling fan who follows racing all-year round closely? Do you have the time, availability and interest to cover live races in text during weekdays/weekends? Then we are looking for you!
CyclingUpToDate is currently looking for a writer who can do Live Blogs for our website, in the English language. This includes the creation and real-time updating of our Live Blogs for all World Tour races, and several non-World Tour events as well. All details will be taught to you by our team.
- Fluency in English
- Passion for cycling
- Ability to follow races live - in the form of watching the broadcast, social media updates, etc. This is however a very flexible position, anywhere between 0-7 work days a week is possible, depending on availability of you and everyone in the team
- Liveblogging during major races and summarizing the action at a fast rhythm
Availability is the main obstacle for this position. You need to be able to follow the races as they happen. It is a remote position and you will have independence to write, but it is a must that you are available at the time of most races. Understandably, this is an obstacle for most people. If however you do have this possibility, enter in contact with us.
- Financial compensation
- A place where you can further develop your journalistic skills
- Possibility of extending our cooperation outside of the Live Blogs
- Free streaming service to follow the races
- Flexibility - Besides being remote, you are free to decide which days you can work on the Live Blogs
Would you like to become part of our team and contribute to one of the biggest cycling news websites? Reach out to rubensilva@assendelftmedia.nl with an introductory message, availability details and (if you have) past experience writing for cycling-related media.
Interesting, now’s the chance for all those who were grumpy about or against paying for subscriptions. But, if the pay is half decent one of girls from the women’s peloton might beat you to it ;-)
