My thought exactly. My initial thought was why don’t the race organizers/UCI rent space along the route. And as they don’t why not the teams hire private security? Or if the race organization doesn’t do it perhaps all the teams chip in for a collective secure site. But really individual teams providing their own security is not that hard to figure out. Even the dumbest criminals can coordinate and plan a theft from a such an easy vulnerable target due to lack of security.25-08-2025 19:17

While I’m not a fan of Simmons, he makes some good points here. But ultimately to be outspoken you you also need to be a great rider. I don’t think he’s quite there yet with the performance, but he wants to be there with the Sagan like persona. I think he needs to focus on the performance first and then when he’s a better rider, he can be a little bit more outspoken. I really don’t care about his politics, but I do like the fact that he is bringing attention to some interesting points.20-08-2025 04:14

For the UCI to disqualify pretty much the top teams means the viewership and sponsors will be less. Which is too bad since we need more interest and support for women’s cycling. Something in the terms and conditions must not sit well with the teams. Likely the responsibility of now making sure the black box is given priority as a protected device more so than ensuring the riders safety on the road with all the furniture15-08-2025 18:48

He won stage 5. That showed incredible form. Chapeaux to him on that! For him to abandon on 14 while in 3rd I feel is ridiculous. Had he kept racing maybe he would drop out of GC. i think his ego is still too big to lose that greatly. Had he stayed on the bike perhaps he would have seen his form improve and he would learn a lot about his body. So what if he drops down deep the list, he still could have ridden into Paris a success21-07-2025 07:33

Blythe is right. Sounds like Rog just doesn’t want to be at the tour and knows he can’t win so he’s a bit irritated by the question. While his feeling is understandable it’s perhaps a bit too honest as it’s also tempered with his own frustrations. I personally don’t think he’ll podium, but he could target some stages and perhaps win a stage which would be a great success for the team. I’m anxious with all the crashes so far, and the inevitable is he will crash out as usual.07-07-2025 07:30

IDT cared more about defending 2nd than defending 1st. The thought of coming in 3rd behind RC was a bigger loss to his ego than losing 1st to master Yates. IDT is a total dong.17-06-2025 08:54

That was one of the best interviews. Coming from the best guy in the world Pogi has so much class. Of course he wants to beat MVDP And sees him as the biggest rival. I kind of felt it was a set up to ask Pogi about Wout being a rival. If he was truly honest, he might have said Wout isn’t a threat at this point. Instead, he just laid out the facts and added some opinions that didn’t diminish the respect he ultimately has for Wout or any competitor for that matter even if they aren’t a threat. Pogi is a master at showing sportsmanship. When he loses to MVDP It’s not a big deal and he’s laughing and goofing around and all giddy as if he did win. He just truly loves racing more than he loves winning. Truly a delight to see him on the podium No matter what step he’s on.04-04-2025 17:11

Pride and overconfidence strike again. Come on Wout! What a bonehead. They had a royal flush in spades and folded the hand. He knows he’s not in his best form after recovering from all the injuries. These are not normal circumstances for a sprint. They should have played tactics and put Powless to the sword by individually attacking thus wearing him out to cover all the attacks. If they wore him out wout MAY have won. It’s sad to see a guy go from insane pride to whimpering dog like that. Yes Wout is under immense pressure, so make some wise and shrewd decisions buddy! Standing there on the podium in 2 or 3 spot he always has the look of a sourpuss sore loser. Show some class buddy! Better success next time04-04-2025 16:11
