Update | 100CHF fine for Mathieu Burgaudeau following slingshot 'attack' at Tour des Alpes Maritimes breakaway

The second stage of the Tour des Alpes Maritimes et du Var saw Mattias Skjelmose take the win after an aggressive hilly day, however there was another moment grabbing the attention on the day, as the TV broadcast captured the moment a TotalEnergies rider went solo off the front after being launched by the team car.

Mathieu Burgaudeau was in the breakaway of the day, and race cameras captured the moment he grabbed onto the DS in the team car who slingshot him, dropping Adne Holter. The Uno-X rider has taken to social media to share the clip and comment 'Chapeau' in what is an event which should bring quite a lot of discussion.

In the end Burgaudeau ended up sanctioned. 4 points in the points classification, 2 in the KOM classification, 10 seconds in the overall classification and 100CHF.
