UAE reveal lineup that will support Tadej Pogacar's Tour of Flanders goal

The UAE Team Emirates has made official the team with which they will try to win the Tour of Flanders next Sunday with their leader Tadej Pogacar.
Let's remember that last year he finished fourth after being the great entertainer of the race. He arrived escaped with Mathieu van der Poel in the final meters, but they began to watch each other and ended up chasing them from behind. The Dutchman ended up taking the sprint. Pogacar knows that he cannot go with Van Aert or van der Poel if he wants to win.

Tim Wellens and Matteo Trentin will likely be his main support riders, however most likely with the task of attacking or covering early attacks, before the inevitable moves by the main favourites happen. In addition to the 2 classicists mentioned, riders such as Sjoerd Bax, Mikkel Bjerg, Vegard Stake Laengen and Rui Oliveira will also support the Slovenian.

- A pat on the back would be easier than a cake mid race. While I am not a huge Ayuso fan I do have some empathy for the crushing disappointment the guy must be feeling. Has an amazing spring. - Totally agree. He did way better than could realistically be imagined, problem was, Pog also more or less. In the end the difference isn’t insurmountable and had there been no Pog, EVERYONE normal would have been full of admiration that he’d won it after his spring.
