TV Guide - 2023 European Championships to take place in Drenthe and VAM-berg

The 2023 European Championships will be taking place throughout the 19th to 23rd of September 2023, and today the reveal has been made towards it's location, which is set to be in the Dutch region of Drenthe and the famous VAM-berg. Here's when you can watch it.

The VAM-berg is one of the most known climbs in the Netherlands, as it is famously a cobbled road up a former pile of garbage that's been turned into infrastructure. The ascent has gained it's popularity through the Ronde van Drenthe but has also hosted the Dutch national championships and this past winter the European Cyclocross Championships. Race organizers from the area and decision-makers both seem to match on the desire to have the region host the road European Championships.

With the 'Super' World Championships set to take place in August next year, the traditional date for the Europeans will be changed. However it will only be by a month, and it's position in the calendar could perhaps be even more favourable towards a premium startlist - after completing all Grand Tours, and late enough in the year that it could be a final goal.
