Team Visma | Lease a Bike look to in-form Tiesj Benoot at Liege-Bastogne-Liege

Although he's still waiting to taste victory, Tiesj Benoot has shown some impressive legs throughout the Spring Classics this year. At Liege-Bastogne-Liege, Team Visma | Lease a Bike will once again look to the experienced Belgian.

"I hope to be back at the start on Sunday with good legs. Liege-Bastogne-Liege is a special race for me," Benoot previews to the official website of Team Visma | Lease a Bike having secured a top-10 at La Fleche Wallonne on Wednesday despite seeing his preparations disrupted by the birth of his second daughter. "My condition is good; I felt it on Sunday and Wednesday and hope to have the same feeling coming Sunday."

Benoot also had an update on the condition of his partner and newborn. "Of course, I am very proud and happy. Everything is going well with mother and daughter; otherwise, I wouldn't be here," he explains warmly. "As a family, we have sacrificed a lot so I could be in good shape during this time. That’s why we decided I would race the Fleche Wallonne on Wednesday and Liège-Bastogne-Liège on Sunday."

One of those tasked with supporting Benoot will be Attila Valter. "Last year's edition was one of the toughest races I've ever done," Valter adds. "I have a little more experience now, so I hope to improve on last year's edition. I'm happy to help Tiesj. He is in good shape, so I want to help him get a good result again."
