VIDEO: Tadej Pogacar braves the bad weather to scope out Liege-Bastogne-Liege course

The two pre-race favourites for this Sunday's Liege-Bastogne-Liege, Mathieu van der Poel and Tadej Pogacar, have opted for different preparation methods this Friday afternoon.

With both coming to the Ardennes having spent the earlier part of the week preparing in the sunshine, van der Poel decided against doing reconnaissance of the Liege-Bastogne-Liege course on Friday afternoon due to the bad weather, instead saving himself and adverting the potential risks entailed with the wet roads and cold weather.

For Tadej Pogacar however, there were no such concerns. The UAE Team Emirates leader rode the final 90km of the course on Friday afternoon. Braving the bad weather, the Slovenian was spotted wrapped up reasonably warm as he took to the roads of the Ardennes.
