Team Jayco AlUla confirm their already fourth new signing of this transfer window. Patrick Gamper will join the Australian squad on a two-year deal. The 27-year-old Austrian is the true definition of an all-rounder - a rider capable of doing great work for his teammates in the mountains, putting in a great effort against the clock, preparing a sprint train, rolling down the cobbles and pulling hard in breakaways. It's not hard to see why Jayco AlUla were interested.

"I am pleased to join Team Jayco AlUla to make the next step in my career and have a new environment in which I can improve," Gamper opens in an official communication. "I am very happy to be onboard because the team trusts and believes in me, and it feels good to start afresh at this point in my career and it absolutely feels the right team for me to be in."

"I hope to be in the big tours for the team and would love to race Paris-Roubaix again after missing out this year." Despite having spent five years in the World Tour with Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe, the 27-year-old has so far only raced the Queen of Classics once. In 2023, he arrived in 60th spot. Not too shabby for his debut on French cobbles. However he believes there's still more that he'd like to prove in next years.

"In the next years I want to bring my experience in my role as a domestique in the biggest races to the team, but am also looking forward to hopefully enjoying more freedom to get into breakaways, which I enjoy very much and also am not too bad at, every now and then," he laughs. "I have been in the same team for five years now and am grateful for that and I have the feeling Team Jayco AlUla could be a real boost for me."
