Davide Rebellin's death came as a total shock to the cycling community, and all over social media many riders, teams, organizers and important figures within the sport have payed their respects for the Italian rider who had just ended his 30-year long career. Rebellin was the victim of a traffic accident, having been hit by a truck whilst riding his bike. The injuries were too severe and the 51-year old passed away due to them. It will require a lot to overcome such a traumatic moment in the peloton, but from all corners of the cycling fans have also payed their respects.
