Having been elevated in category for 2023, the Grand Prix Criquielion has garnered newfound prominence as a Belgian semi-classic. It offers riders outside of the World Tour a chance to vie for a prestigious victory during a bustling period in the cycling calendar, set for March 4th.
The race, as most around Belgium during this period, features a significant amount of cobbled sectors. It's a race where sprinters and classics riders of all sorts can succeed as an initial five lap circuit will warm things up, but the final two-lap loop around Lessines will feature two small ascents and a cobbled sector right before the finish at the end of 203 kilometers.
Start Time: 12:35CET.
Finish Time: 17:10CET.
