PREVIEW | Trofeo Ses Salines - Alcudia 2023 - Sprinters face off on second day of Mallorca Challenge

The Trofeo Ses Salines - Alcúdia will be the second of the Mallorca classics this January and it will take place on the 26th of February. A much simpler classic, this onw however features again terrain that's suited to the classics riders, but also the sprinters.

The 158 kilometers that separate Ses Salines and Alcúdia are mostly flat, with the exception of the Col de sa Batalla, which is 8.5 kilometers at 5%. Not a brutal climb, but not an easy affair for the sprinters. A couple of hilltops and a descent can further create gaps, which will not be easy to control if a sprint is to occur for the victory.

The final startlist includes riders such as: Kasper Asgreen, Davide Ballerini, Ethan Vernon, Iván Garcia Cortina, Tim Wellens, Matteo Trentin, Juan Sebastián Molano, Matthew Walls, Neilson Powless, Biniam Girmay, Nacer Bouhanni and Dan McLay.
